Now that we are in Stage 3 of reopening, the Toronto Zoo is welcoming back guests, so we decided to take the kids last weekend. We had so much fun! I know some people are still nervous to be out at busy places, so I wanted to share with you all the safety protocols and procedures they have in place for their guests.
As soon as you enter the park they have a Self Screening chart for you to read to make sure you have no covid symptoms before entering the park.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for us. We went on an overcast day, so it was very comfortable walking around. It was still hot, we just didn’t have the sun beating down on us all morning. If you want to avoid their peak busy times, I do suggest coming first thing in the morning like we did, or evening before they close. Throughout the whole park, they have social distancing signs, and markings on the ground to remind everyone to keep their distance from each other.
Also throughout the whole zoo are sanitizing stations for your convenience. Masks are mandatory in the park if you are in any pavilions, or when you are outside and social distancing isn’t possible.
I LOVE this new system they have for the pavilions. Outside each pavilion they have a TV that lets you know the maximum amount of people allowed inside, and most importantly how many people are actually inside at that time. If they are not at capacity, there will be a big green circle letting you know you can go inside.
Thanks so much to the Toronto Zoo for keeping us safe. We had such a great visit!
