Last night I was lucky to receive tickets to take my son to Disney On Ice: Dare to Dream held at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. We were both so excited for this show because it was our first time seeing a Disney On Ice performance.
Instead of fighting the traffic on a Friday night, I decide to take the Go train to Toronto. The Rogers Centre is just a short walk from the train station, so it’s very convenient. Plus, my son loves trains and it’s not very often he gets to ride on one, so it worked out great.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy were the MC’s for the night by introducing all the princesses and princes to the show. My son was so excited every time they came out, he loves Mickey and Goofy so much!
The show started off with Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. The scene was full of upbeat music. I could see a bunch of kids out of their seats dancing. It was so cute!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were up next. She searches for her one true love while trying to escape from the Evil Queen.
.
I was soo excited for the Cinderella scene! It’s one of my favourite Disney movies!! Cinderella, the mice, the step sisters and of course Prince Charming all made their appearance. I loved the horse and carriage part, it was covered in lights. So magicial!
They had a 15 minute intermission which was great. The kids were able to go to the bathroom and/or grab another bite to eat before the show started again.
.
Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled also made an appearance. Flynn recused Rapunzel from her castle. They both did some aerial acrobatics using Silk as Rapunzel’s hair which was pretty awesome to watch. At the end, they got a little girl from the audience to come on the stage to light and release a lantern into the sky. It was so cute! Such a great memory for that little girl and her family.
The end was amazing! It was both of our favourite parts. All the Disney characters from the show came out including some others that weren’t in the show, like Ariel from Little Mermaid, and Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.
What a great show! We both loved it so much and would definitely go again. I saw so many little girls in princess dresses. I can’t wait to also bring my daughter next year. She would so want to do that!
