Toronto Underground Market also known as “TUM” is Canada’s 1st social food market designed to support and promote Toronto’s growing food entrepreneurs, home cooks and chefs by testing new food ideas.
They have been running this event for 3 years now and just announced that on Saturday September 27th it’s going to be their last one, but don’t worry they have something else up their sleeve for the future. To celebrate their last event they will feature old favourite vendors such as Rock Lobster, La Carnita and Hotbunzz and many more.
I have been to this event a few times and it’s a great excuse for a date night. It’s 19 + because they serve alcohol so get a babysitter and come out and try some really great good. Tickets are $14.99 a person which you can purchase here. Once you are inside there is over 20 different food vendors, craft beer and local wine vendors that sell there dishes between $2-$8 each. No credit cards or debit cards are accepted- it’s a cash only event. They will have an ATM machine on site just in case you forgot to bring some money. This event is going to be held at 99 Sudbury Street in Toronto. Doors open at 5pm.
Here are some of the vendors that will be there along with what they will be serving:
On the MENU: Gushi Chicken Skewers from Gushi Japanese Street Food |
On the MENU: Smokin’ hot BBQ (platters & individual) from Stoke Stack Barbeque |
